This award acknowledges a nonprofit or small business (less than 500 employees) in the Wichita metro area which is able to constantly create meaningful impact and engagement for the community by connecting people to their mission and values. This organization influences and inspires its staff, board, volunteers, donors, and other community partners. They provide resources, programs, or services that help build and sustain strong communities.
Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Award
This award acknowledges an organization that strives towards a safe, inclusive, empathetic, and talented work environment. This organization is known for its openness to diversity and ongoing inclusion which cultivates fully engaged and effective teamwork. Whitney M. Young Leadership Award
This award acknowledges one exceptional leader who works to improve the local urban community through influential leadership. Whitney Young expanded the National Urban League from a small advocacy organization to a multi-million dollar operating nonprofit with a leading national presence. During his tenure from 1961 to 1971, Young brought the organization to the forefront of the American Civil Rights Movement.
