Supporting youth through comprehensive educational and personal development




The Urban League of Kansas Education and Youth Empowerment programs are designed to support academic achievement, civic involvement, and the physical and emotional development of children and youth.


Project Ready used weekly meetings at the school locations, college field trips, & workshops, to keep our youth above the curve & on track for graduation & higher education.  These strategies yielded the following results in 2014.   

2014-- 100% graduation rate

2014--  100% of our students identified 3 career interest related to their skills

2014--  96% of our seniors completed FAFSA & Rebate Workshops  

2014—Over  half of our students participated in College Tours

2014-  100’s of students went on college tours




Katherine Johnson Young Scholars is a group of females K-5th grade students learning algebra and ACT/SAT preparations that will track through graduation. The Katherine Johnson Scholars Sisters (KJSS) empowers young ladies to learn math through the S.T.E.M program. Keep up with what they are doing on Facebook.
