Urban League of Kansas (ULK) helps individuals access the skills, knowledge, support and networks they need to enter the workforce and advance in their careers. ULK programs raise employment and income levels through job training and placement services, career exposure, career advancement, seminars, coaching and long-term retention strategies. ULK has also formed strong relationship and partnerships with local employers and training providers to offer employment and training opportunities.
WSU TECH CNA PROGRAM
The CNA program is a Kansas Board of Regents approved certification program and is designed to prepare students for employment as trained nursing assistants. The class curriculum is on-line and face-to-face with an instructor from WSU Tech. Total program takes 8 weeks to complete and includes 30 hours of clinical experience at a state approved licensed nursing home. The program is designed to help participants gain and retain employment while at the same time advancing the economic career ladder within the healthcare field. The opportunity does exists for graduates to meet with healthcare agencies for job placement.
The WSU Tech CNA program consists of the following:
Home Health Aide (HHA)
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Classes will be held at the Urban League building.
