Kansas Quick Careers Patient Care Assistant Training Program
Healthcare professionals are in high demand, and that demand isn’t going to lessen. Entry-level positions start from $9 to $12 an hour with immediate advancement opportunities.
Enroll in the Patient Care Assistant Program offered by Kansas Quick Careers. The program is a partnership of Butler Community College and the Urban League of Kansas. You will earn your Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA), a PCA certificate which includes acute care skills, monitor technical skills, healthcare unit coordination skills, and a job readiness certificate.
Upon completion and certification, you will be given opportunities to meet with several healthcare companies for job-placement opportunities.

CareerLink is provided for adults on an individual basis. Job seekers walk-in for this service. The job seeker first receives employment counseling and a brief employability assessment. This assessment involves a resume critique and if deemed appropriate, the job seeker may be referred for employability training. A job search resource room is available for job seekers to conduct job searches.

Administrative Professional Training
The Administrative Professional is a six-week course that will provide the student with the skills and the know-how to get the job and then get the job done. It is designed to assist adults in identifying their existing assets and creating new ones that will lead to sustained employment. The program provides computer training in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, life skills and job search. The curriculum is designed for individualized, self-directed training.
The course is designed for those new to or re-entering the workforce, or just wishing to build on their current skills to become more hirable and more promotable. The course covers a wide range of topics. These include:
- Personal work habits
- Self-esteem
- Resume building
- Interview skills
- The power of positive attitude
- Ethical decision-making
- Job-search techniques
- Computer skills
