Jobs with and through the ULK
At the Urban League of Kansas, we understand that the most crucial component of economic self-sufficiency is employment. Through steady employment we provide for our families, keep a roof over our heads and put food on the table.
Sometimes, however, we may find ourselves in a rut, discouraged to find that jobs are scarce and many don’t provide the kind of compensation necessary to pay all the bills and feed the family. Everyone experiences hardships at some point in their life, and we all know how critical it is to have the right kind of help when it is needed.
The Urban League of Kansas is committed to helping members of the community help themselves. We do this through a variety of objectives aimed at assisting people in becoming more employable and finding jobs that can sustain them.
At the Urban League Community Learning Center, we hold a variety of classes and seminars, sponsored by various community partners including USD 259 and Butler Community College, that utilize professionally licensed teachers and partner resources to provide individuals with training and education to secure the jobs they need.
